I began building this painting by first creating highly visible forms from modeling paste and collages using printed tissue paper, which were then partially integrated harmoniously or visibly torn during subsequent overpainting. The individual layers of paint are harmoniously interwoven and applied in glazes. On an underlying composition, I calm the work with large-scale, complementary layers and forms. The scratch marks, brushstrokes, and deliberate eye-catching details symbolize the transitions.
