I built the foundation of this work using various collages, materials, and textures, which took on a momentum of their own through the free flow of ideas. Even as I’m constructing an image, I immerse myself in the emotional world that energizes me throughout every creative process. The renewed joy of rebuilding is all the greater the more complex the living creative process becomes, with its many accents and details. It is then the delicate nuances of opaque, bold, and glazed, fine layers of color that lead here to a free creative interplay in the clearly visible “overlapping” of various color fields, lines, and symbols – complemented by profound symbolism and areas with water-repellent bitumen and black ink.
