Secrets can be beautiful, frightening, eerie, or mundane. In any case, they are always fascinating in their own way. They have existed ever since humans began living together. Their history is therefore closely linked to the development of society. But the secret is also deeply woven into our individual and private lives. There is hardly any area of our lives in which secrets do not play a role. This is also true in painting. And in my figurative works, I often succeed in creating this mysterious atmosphere through the unique composition of diverse materials, textures, collages, and color palettes. In this work, ‘The Magic of Cold’, the figures appear deeply intertwined, thus defying the magic of cold with great expressiveness.
