A pictorial tension needs contrasts. Contrast always arises from the juxtaposition of contrary elements, and it is these differences that bring tension into my works. They lead to a structure that forms different forms of expression and shows in its various manifestations counter poles, which are usually perceived by the viewer as stimulating. In this work ‘I want to know’ show in the figures striking counter poles in color and demeanor and reveal the expressive and emotional intention and reaction.
