I built the foundation of this work using various collages, materials, and textures, which gained a momentum of their own through the free flow of ideas. The renewed joy of rebuilding is all the greater the more complex the living creative process becomes, with its many accents and details. It is then the delicate nuances of opaque, bold, and glazed, fine layers of color that lead here to a free creative interplay in the apparent “breakthrough” with various color fields, lines, and symbols—complemented by profound symbolism and areas with water-repellent bitumen and black ink.
