The works in the “Traces of Time” series are small-scale pieces based on layers of texture, with areas of color and deliberate effects applied to the canvas. As passionate and thrillingly powerful as in most of my previous paintings, the impulsive, dynamic, yet sensitive visual language is translated into small formats—complemented by black and white typographic elements. These serve as typographic “eye-catchers” that, despite their power, also convey delicacy, fragility, gentleness, and romance.
